  • Kristine Schaefer

    Kristine Schaefer, principal of Loma Communications, is an executive coach specializing in communications coaching and leadership development. She works with leaders around the world helping them expertly convey their vision and strategies and win competitive advantage for their companies.

    In that capacity, Kristine has worked with over 200 organizations in the U.S., Europe, the U.K. and Asia; including Adobe, Charles Schwab, Comcast, Hewlett-Packard, Stanford University, The University of California Business and Medical Schools and a host of high-growth startups.

    In her coaching sessions and training workshops, Kristine creates an encouraging and safe environment where clients feel free to take risks, break unproductive patterns and make bolder and better choices in their leadership and communications abilities.

    Prior to launching her coaching career in 1999, Kristine was a vice president at The Weber Group, now Weber Shandwick, a global communications firm, where she was a senior communications counselor to an $8 billion division of IBM; to high-tech start-ups; and to top trade and government officials in Asia.

  • Karen Lam

    Karen Lam is passionate about her work as a communications strategist and executive coach. She has coached CEOs and executive clients for over twenty years to communicate their message with impact and authenticity.

    Having lived and worked in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, Karen brings a global perspective to her work. She designs and delivers programs in:

    • Media skills
    • Presentation skills
    • Leadership branding
    • Influencing skills

    Karen has coached the president or chief executive at companies such as Apple Inc., Adobe, ASP (a Johnson & Johnson company), BEA Systems (now Oracle), Blue Shield of California, The Disneyland Resort, Dresdner RCM Global Investors, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, WindRiver (now Intel), Lenovo Group, NASA, Packard Bell NEC, Taiwan Semiconductor (TSMC), University of California at San Francisco, and In-Q-Tel, the venture capital group for the Central Intelligence Agency.

    Other client companies Karen has trained recently include: Accenture, Intel, Cisco, Texas Instruments, Sun Microsystems, IBM, AT&T, Qualcomm, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, J.P. Morgan, Deloitte and Touche, Whirlpool, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, Glaxo SmithKline, Procter & Gamble, Novartis, Genentech, Ford Motor Company, Turner Broadcasting and NIKE.

    Karen led the communications training practice for Burson-Marsteller, one of the world’s largest public relations firms, in the Greater China region in Asia. She also served as Senior Training Consultant at American Express International. She began her career teaching in universities in Asia and the United States.

    Karen holds an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Montana and a B.A. in Literary Studies from the University of Toronto. She is fluent in several dialects of Chinese and is a student of French, German and Spanish.

  • Kathy Andre

    Kathy Andre has spent 18 years as a communication skills trainer. Through one-on-one sessions, she helps her clients:

    • Assess and develop their verbal skill sets
    • Enhance their physical presence before an audience
    • Power a deeper connection with the audience
    • Perfect their clarity of message
    • Develop the best stories and hooks to deliver the message

    She is known throughout the field for her ability to deliver tough, specific, individualized feedback while continuing to respect, celebrate and support her clients. Her pragmatic approach is to share tools everyone can easily absorb, practice immediately and create a connection to how they apply these skills in their work and in their life.

    Kathy’s Team Development work, always customized, helps struggling or newly formed teams and their leaders achieve their vision:

    • Improve team dynamics
    • Clarify or set team mission, goals, strategy
    • Determine roles and responsibilities of team members
    • Enhance communication
    • Help a team successfully move to self-management

    Throughout her career, she has consulted with a variety of companies in the technology, gaming, biotech and medical fields, including Electronic Arts, Sun Microsystems, San Francisco General Hospital, Macromedia, Liveops and Tyco Electronics.

    Kathy holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from California State University Chico, Chico California. Her certifications include: Arbinger Institute, Coaches Training Institute, Lucid Living and the Bigger Game Company. She is a certified instructor in management development courses for Blessing/White, Achieve Global and the Real Learning Company.

  • Krim Stephenson

    Krim Stephenson is a storyteller and executive coach who works with clients seeking transformation and growth. He helps individuals better understand themselves and the people around them, allowing them to become more fulfilled, effective, and engaging. His approach addresses a combination of mindset (“how do I understand myself”), interpersonal dynamics (“how do I understand others”), and skills and practice development (“how do I act and lead”).

    As a coach and communications leader, he has worked with individuals and teams from organizations including Atlassian, Intel, Microsoft, Workday, and the Stanford University. Krim holds a BA in English from Princeton University and an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business. He lives and works in the Bay Area with his wife, Cathy, and their two children.

  • Hope Timberlake

    Hope Timberlake is an author, speaker, and executive coach who focuses on the communication side of leadership. Her keynotes and training center on executive presence, persuasive messaging, relationship building, and elevating the voices of women and those underrepresented in leadership. Her book, Speak Up, Dammit! How to Quiet Your Fears, Polish Your Presence and Share Your Voice was released in October 2021.

    Hope has worked in a variety of industries with clients including Bank of America, BlackRock, Bloomberg, CBS Interactive, Clorox, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Infinera, Microsoft, Nestle, Organic, Razorfish, and University of California, San Francisco. Hope earned her Masters degree in Epidemiology and Biostatics at University of California Berkeley in a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.
